About Me

I am a Nurse Practitioner in an STD/HIV clinic in a public health department in Raleigh, NC.  I have always been passionate about public health, educating, and serving the underserved and underinsured.  I have a particular interest in the teen population as well as the Latino population, as I am fluent in Spanish as well.   With over 25 years of experience in the healthcare field, I started my career as a CNA and became an RN, then a Nurse Practitioner.  My background includes teaching for the CDC, Planned Parenthood, Labor and Delivery, and prenatal care.
